Have you ever been to one of your friend’s house and they said, “Are you okay with having an animal around you? It’s a…” I don’t know about you, but I certainly have.
My parents have never had pets other than fish.
I have always wondered if I could get a pet, what would be the best pet to get? Well, after thinking it over, I think that the best animal to have for a pet would be a dog because there are many different types of them, they are very loving, and you can potty train them.
I think dogs would make the best pet because there are so many different types of them. For example, my aunt and uncle have an Australian Shepherd, my mom’s boss had a Golden Retriever, my best friend has a large Bull dog, my other friends have two Pugs, and even the Disney Princess Ariel has a white Sheepdog. These are just a few types of dogs.
There are hundreds or maybe even thousands of types of dogs out there. They can also be for example part labberdoodle and part retriever. There’s a dog for everyone’s preferences, needs, and wants. Therefore, dogs make the best pet because there are so many different types of dogs to match their owners’ preferences.
Also, I think dogs make the best pet because they are affectionate, and they love you no matter what. For instance, in the book called Wonder, there’s a dog called Daisy. Wonder is about a boy that’s in 6th grade. He’s had 24 surgeries to try to make his face look like other people’s faces, but his face is still unique and uncommon. Because of this, he gets bullied and stared at a lot. In the book, he owns a dog named Daisy. The boy talks about how Daisy loves him no matter what and treats him like a normal person because she doesn’t know what his face truly looks like. Most dogs are like this. They don’t care if you’re a mean, kind, or weird person, they love you no matter what, and you’ll always be their favorite person. This means that dogs make the best pet because they don’t see your imperfections and love you either way.
Lastly, some people might think that having dogs means you’ll have poop and urine in your house. However, you can potty train your dog so that they don’t go to the bathroom inside your house. For example, my friends have two pugs. They obviously did not want to have dog poop and urine in their house. Therefore, they started potty training their dogs and regularly taking them out for walks to prevent dog waste being in their house. Slowly but surely, the dogs learned to hold their waste and only go to the bathroom outside. I know most people potty train their dogs and that potty training dogs actually works. Therefore, dogs make the best pets because you can potty train them to go to the bathroom outside.
In conclusion, if you want to get a pet, dogs are the best option to get. This is because there are so many different types of them to fit your needs, they are affectionate and care for you no matter what, and you can potty train them so that they don’t go to the bathroom inside your house.
